Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. Raised by her mother throughout the USA she had to face numerous racial insults which gave her feeling of being unwanted. She began to gain confidence during the 9th grade, when she appeared in an audition. She was praised for her performance. Not only did it boost her confidence but her ambitions were changed. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. She was 23 when she had her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her film debut You've Got Mail were both her big break. The part of The Lady of The Lake is her greatest success, and earned herself an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her performance. The recognition grew even more for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. A singer by profession, she's also produced a single as well as an extended work. In addition, she's an activist who is a tireless advocate in the fight for LGBT rights.
