Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). She grew up in an artistic family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in art. In the beginning she began as an assistant in photography. Then she shifted her focus to modeling and directing. She won the Golden Globe Award in 1990 as a promising actress. The MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was an enormous success that earned the world to her in addition to being an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. She was named the best female box-office actress in the globe after just three releases. Handprints, signatures and footprints were made in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw has been married three times.
