Zoe-perry

Perry is born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles included two episodes as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. Because of their fear of stress, the parents did not want to see her pursue acting before she turned 18. Perry she was shy to be a part of the theater in her school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry managed to get small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. Homesickness, however, led her to California and she returned performing on stage. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry starred in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on the ABC drama The Family. Her father played her character in The ABC show Scandal. She also played her older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The role was offered to her through an open audition despite being connected to the persona.
